Spiti Valley & Kaza

Wedged in the north-eastern Himachal Pradesh, Spiti Valley is a high desert mountain valley in the Himalayas. Meaning “The Middle Land”, Spiti has been a gateway to TIbet for hundreds of years. Connected to Lahaul by Kunzum La Pass (4,590m) the valley is often cut off from civilization during the winter months.

Kaza is situated along the Spiti River, at about 3,800m above sea level. The road from Kinnaur hugs the Spiti River, from Nako where we ride the serpentine road along apple and apricot orchards amid majestic peaks.
